Privacy Policy

Unlike big tech (no names will be mentioned here but you probably know some companies I'm referring to) I am not interested in spying on you, gathering data on you, invading your privacy, and/or selling any data on you. I despise those criminal, unlawful and/or immoral corporations and their actions. As an example, I recall setting up a fancy new Netflix/Google enabled TV for someone else (I won't touch that garbage) where they gave you setup information that Android/Google will turn on the microphone and send the data to some database, and they gave an "Ok" button but not a "Decline" button so you MUST agree to have your privacy invaded and conversations recorded otherwise you cannot use the TV. Thanks for the lack of choice. To me, this kind of thing is just not on.

So, the policy of this site is to gather nothing on you unless you agree (such as your name, email address, phone number, etc so that we can, for example, contact each other and maybe swap or buy/sell some lamps). Eventually when/if account registrations are enabled then some data will have to be provided by you and stored to allow opening and continued use of such accounts. Please note that I have little or no control that I am aware of over what data may be collected, if any at all, by the content management system (CMS) software used to create this site called Zenphoto, or what the web hosting service may collect. I doubt Zenphoto collects anything other than what minimal is required for functioning of the website, ditto for the hosting service. If I become aware of any unnecessary data they collect and can possibly disable that collection I will gladly do so ASAP as I do not wish to participate in anyone's invasion of our privacy. I don't want or need the pathetic few pennies they throw at us for literally raping us of all our data. Sadly, it really is a war between "them" and us, and rest assured I'm on OUR side.

As for cookies, I do not know what is or may be created by the CMS software or the web hosting provider. Session cookies are commonly used (for example when users log in to accounts) but any tracking/spying/advertising type cookies I'm unaware of nor have any such cookies been knowingly authorised by me.

If anyone becomes aware of anything that might be collecting data on this site please get in touch with me and I'll look into it and hopefully put a stop to it if I can.
